		<description>It is a matter of no small amazement and delight to me that something I wrote three years ago and very far away is being read and commented on. I&#039;m glad our agitation to get Internet service in the dorms paid off eventually--though not in time for my own personal benefit; I have very specific memories of all the time I spent sitting outside on the staircase landing to intercept the neighbors&#039; wireless signals. And since when are ladies rooming at Teranouchi Washin-ryo?

I see that you&#039;re keeping your own Midorikai blog; already it looks to be far more sober, informative, and responsible than mine. I&#039;ll read it with great nostalgia.</description>
