Off of the busy main street on which I live run countless smaller streets. Because this is Japan, that means much smaller. Like, I’m always surprised when I actually see cars on them. But that’s not a super-frequent occurrence, so if you’re heading up or down Horikawa on foot or bicycle, stopping at traffic lights is sort of optional.
